Beautiful hike with views of streams and waterfalls on the way up. You finish at the top of Palisades resort where you can enjoy the views and take a free tram ride down. Classified as a hard hike and takes about 3 hours / 4 miles.

Sand Harbor
This park has one of the most beautiful beaches around Lake Tahoe, with the clearest water you will EVER see. Parking fills up fast during the summer, so taking the bus from Incline Village or accessing via the 3-mile paved East Shore Trail is recommended.

Kings Beach
30 min. drive from Plumpjack. It’s a large general public beach that offers warm water and soft sand bars. Super close to restaurants and other activities - you could spend your whole day here.

D.L. Bliss State Park
The Rubicon Trail at DL Bliss State Park is an awesome trail that runs along the shore of Lake Tahoe. You can connect it down to Emerald Bay for a longer hike if you choose!

Sunnyside Lodge
This is a lake-side restaurant and bar with great food (get the fish tacos!). It’s right next to a beach and marina where you can rent boats, kayaks, paddleboards, etc.

Stateline Fire Lookout Hike
You can drive up a fire road and park before the gate, then it’s about a 0.25 mile hike uphill to the most beautiful lookout. You will lose service but you won’t be disappointed.

A beginner-friendly hike. Minimum work for maximum views!

Moon Dunes
Locals beach off the main drive in between Carnelian Bay and Kings Beach. Don’t be surprised that it’s very inconspicuous from the road, it’s hidden for a reason and that’s because it’s great. Soft yellow sand and warmest water in Lake Tahoe. Bring some towels/chairs and get there early for maximum good vibes.

Historic Summit Tunnel
The Donner Summit tunnels straddle the Crest of the Sierra Nevada. These tunnels were built for the first transcontinental railroad and have since been abandoned as Union Pacific built new ones. They make for a unique and fun hike.
